Intern - Engineer

The Engineer Intern will use and perfect their skills in 2D/3D Computer Aided Design (CAD), have a passion for football, and product development. As the Engineer Intern, you will support the Riddell Research and Development Team in designing and developing world class protective products. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is eager to help with wherever is needed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)

• Gather research on a subject/project and create summary report for engineering team
• Assist in documentation such as engineering test procedures, material specifications, and bill of materials.
• Familiarity with Solidworks, Rhino 3D, Creo, or similar 3D software.
• Assist with various lab tests such as NOCSAE drop testing or tensile/compression testing.
• Assist in assembling and preparing prototype samples for lab testing.
• Enter and analyze data using Microsoft Excel, Word.

Requirements:

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Working toward a BS or BA degree in Engineering or a related field.
• CAD experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to follow procedures and desire to learn
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Ability to relate to and collaborate with a diverse array of functional areas.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Superior attention to detail.

 

SKILLS

• Sense of wonderment and curiosity about how we can improve football protective equipment.
• Positive attitude; sees challenges as opportunities.
• Demonstrated experience working with CAD in a project capacity should be outlined in your resume.

ExperienceRequired* Progress towards a BS or BA degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
