Job SummaryThe Pittsburgh Pirates are seeking an Intern, Social Media to assist with the day-to-day Social Media operations throughout the 2026 Pirates baseball season, while learning and developing their skills and knowledge of the industry under the supervision of Director, Social Media.As part of a multi-faceted and dynamic team, this individual will be able to work well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while consistently bringing new ideas to the table. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, flexible, extremely organized, and detail-oriented who is eager to learn and grow in the industry.

Responsibilities1. Attend most Pirates home games and assist with gathering and posting content around Marketing, Community events and fan engagement. 2. Assist Director and Manager with content development and creation for our social media accounts. 3. Assist with some road game responsibilities remotely. 4. Assist with the planning, gathering, editing, and posting of content on all Pirates accounts, with a focus on TikTok. 5. Assist the execution of the Pirates Influencer Program. 6. Provide social coverage for community events, mascot appearances and partnership activations. 7. Assist with management of ancillary accounts, including PNC Park Events, Pirates Partners, Bucs Community, etc. 8. Research and report on trends and initiatives across the league to develop new concepts and best practices. 9. Assist in organizing content calendar for weekly posting schedule. 10. All other duties assigned by Social Media team.

*Qualifications***Required:**1. Authorized to work lawfully in the United States. 2. Degree-Seeking Program at Junior, Senior or Graduate level, majoring in Marketing, Communications, Production, or a related field. 3. Attendance at most Pirates home games and working remotely for some away games. 4. Experience managing TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts. 5. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite Programs such as: Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom and InDesign.

**Desired:**1. Knowledge of baseball is preferred. 2. Sports experience is a plus. 3. Experience in video production and/photography is a plus.
