Data Engineer
The New York Jets are looking for a data-driven problem solver and relationship builder to join our Business Intelligence & Analytics team. In this role, you won't just sit behind a dashboard — you'll be a strategic partner embedded across the organization, working hand-in-hand with ticketing departments to turn data into decisions.
You'll also be at the forefront of how we integrate AI into the way we run our business. From identifying opportunities for machine learning to building and deploying production-ready models, you'll help shape what intelligent, data-driven operations look like at an NFL franchise.
If you're someone who's equally comfortable presenting insights to a VP as you are fine-tuning a predictive model, this role was built for you.
What You'll Do:
Cross-Departmental Partnership & Lead Generation* Serve as the primary analytics partner for ticketing departments across the organization, embedding yourself in their workflows and proactively surfacing data-driven opportunities
- Build trusted relationships with department heads and senior leadership, acting as a go-to resource for data questions, strategic planning support, and performance benchmarking
- Lead the analytics relationship for lead generation and campaign performance, working closely with sales and marketing teams to measure effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend optimizations
- Own the full lifecycle of analytical projects post-delivery: translate findings into clear operational recommendations, drive stakeholder alignment, and provide hands-on training to ensure adoption sticks
AI Development & Predictive Modeling* Lead the identification and prioritization of AI/ML opportunities across the organization — pinpointing where intelligent automation and predictive capabilities can move the needle on revenue, efficiency, and fan experience
- Develop, deploy, and operationalize machine learning models (e.g., renewal probability, fan clustering, churn prediction) from experimentation through to production-ready, scalable workflows
- Build and refine individual game models to support real-time ticket pricing and inventory decisions, leveraging market intelligence to stay ahead of demand signals
- Support seasonal variable pricing strategy with data-driven models designed to maximize ticketing revenue across the full schedule
- Stay current on emerging AI/ML tools and methodologies, actively bringing new approaches into the team's toolkit
Data Infrastructure & Reporting* Use SQL to retrieve business data, fulfill ad hoc requests, and develop BI dashboards in Power BI
- Serve as a co-administrator of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, maintaining data integrity and building integrations that enhance the sales process
- Acquire, organize, and analyze data across ticket sales, concessions, merchandise, social media, corporate partnerships, stadium operations, loyalty programs, and more
- Contribute to the continuous development of our internal data warehouse, with a focus on improving ETL processes and data quality
- Design and build scripts and internal systems to automate data acquisition and streamline business processes
- Perform database segmentation to power targeted, relevant fan marketing communications
What You'll Bring:
Required* 4+ years of experience in an analytics or data science role
- Degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience serving as a cross-functional analytics partner, with a track record of building relationships and driving adoption across multiple departments
- Expert-level SQL and relational database skills
- Proficiency in Python or R for automation and predictive analysis
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML models in a business setting
- Experience working with large, complex datasets
- Strong communicator who can translate technical findings into business language for non-technical audiences
- High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Preferred* Experience taking AI/ML models from development through to production/operationalization
- Experience administering Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools
- Background in sports, entertainment, or ticketing industries
Why the Jets:* Work at the center of one of the NFL's most recognized franchises
- Collaborative, high-performance team culture
- Opportunity to see your work directly influence game-day revenue, fan engagement, and business strategy
