Software Engineer

Position OverviewAs a Software Engineer, you will build and maintain the systems that power WolfCycle's AI-driven marketing operations. You'll work across our Python/FastAPI backend and React/Next.js frontend, taking features from requirements through deployment.

You'll join a small engineering team where individual work is visible and product feedback comes back quickly. You'll partner directly with Product and Client Success, and the features you build will reach users within weeks rather than quarters.

Key Responsibilities* Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI

• Build and maintain frontend applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Work with AWS serverless services such as Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, and Cognito, backed by PostgreSQL
• Take features from requirements through deployment, including testing and verification in production
• Contribute to production operations, including monitoring and incident response
• Participate in code review and contribute to engineering standards
• Work with Product and Client Success to understand how features are actually used

Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience building production APIs using FastAPI or similar
• Experience building modern frontend applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, PostgreSQL preferred
• Exposure to AWS, particularly serverless architectures
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with non-engineering stakeholders

Preferred Skills* Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, and Cognito

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or AWS CDK) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs and enterprise systems
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)
• Experience with a component library such as Mantine, MUI, or Chakra
