We are automating parts of this work into self-service data products and adopting Databricks as our data platform.
We want this person to see data operations as the backbone of our future data products and business partnerships. This is an engineering role, not a data-entry role, and the expectation is that this person grows into the data engineer who builds and maintains those self-service data products.

** This is an onsite position. Candidates must reside in Cleveland, OH or be willing to fully relocate to Cleveland, OH.

Execute manual data imports and file exchanges accurately, with a clear audit trail every time.
Document every repeatable process in enough detail that a future script could replace it.
Flag data quality issues during fulfillment work and route them to the right owner with context- familiarity with data quality concepts like null handling, deduplication, referential integrity is a plus.
Partner with Full-Stack Data Engineers to convert documented manual processes into automated, self-service data products.
Support data stewardship help maintain field definitions, surface gaps, and keep documentation current.
Write and maintain basic SQL scripts for recurring requests, with an eye toward what should eventually become a self-service data product instead of a one-off request.
Assist in validation, spot-checking, and ad-hoc investigation when data anomalies surface.
Handle vendor data file exchanges with care and accountability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Software Engineering, etc.).
1+ year(s) of experience working directly with data in a professional environment (internship experience is welcomed).
Willingness to work onsite in an office environment minimum of 4 days per week.
Strong SQL: you write joins, debug other people's queries, and structure a data pull without handholding.
Fluent in relational databases — PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
Process-minded by instinct: you document what you do before someone asks you to.
Organized and reliable — business teams will depend on you for time-sensitive fulfillment work.
Clear communicator: you can explain a data issue to someone who doesn't write SQL.
Basic Python or scripting exposure is a plus, even if it's just a simple script.
Exposure to any BI tool, data warehouse platform, or Databricks specifically is a plus.
This posting will expire on Friday 10/16, or once a maximum amount of applicants has been reached.
