2027 Baseball Analytics Intern - Bristol Blues

Position Overview
The Bristol Blues are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Baseball Analytics Interns to join our Analytics staff for the summer season. Interns will work closely with coaches and the front office to support decision-making through data collection, analysis, and communication. This role provides hands-on experience in applied baseball analytics within a competitive summer collegiate environment.
Primary Responsibilities

• Tag and manage pitch- and batted-ball data using TrackMan
• Assist with camera setup and analysis using Synergy
• Produce daily and weekly reports for coaches and players (i.e.  opponent scouting)
• Support pre-game and post-game analytical needs
• Use data available to create projects to benefit team success
• Communicate insights clearly to coaching staff and players
• Contribute to special analytics or scouting projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong interest in baseball analytics, player development, or scouting
• Working knowledge of TrackMan metrics
• Familiarity with video and data tools
• Understanding of core baseball analytics concepts
• Experience with Excel; experience with R or Python is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and game days
