The Opportunity

FC Cincinnati are recruiting a Data Analyst Intern to support their Soccer Analytics department during the 2027 MLS Sprint Season.

Reporting to the Lead Data Scientist, the successful candidate will gain practical experience applying data science and analytics within a professional football environment.

Key Responsibilities

Produce pre-match and post-match analytical reports.
Analyse event and tracking data to identify performance trends.
Support opposition analysis and match preparation.
Develop clear data visualisations and reports.
Assist coaches and technical staff with analytical projects.

Essential Requirements

Currently studying towards a relevant undergraduate degree.
Experience or familiarity with Python, R and SQL.
Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI.
Understanding of databases, APIs and data processing.
Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.
Knowledge of football and its tactical demands.
