About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and evolving the cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes behind Rapsodo's products. Working closely with software engineering and cross-functional teams, you will build reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure supporting cloud backends, mobile applications, desktop software, and device firmware. You will also drive automation and continuous improvement to enhance engineering productivity and software delivery.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes across cloud, mobile, desktop, and firmware products.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Manage containerized applications and orchestration platforms to support reliable and consistent deployments.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response processes to improve system reliability and observability.
- Integrate security scanning and vulnerability management into CI/CD pipelines, addressing infrastructure and application security risks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve development workflows, release management, and deployment reliability.
- Monitor delivery performance using DORA metrics and drive continuous improvements in deployment frequency, lead time, and system recovery.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and production environment issues while maintaining technical documentation and operational standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related role, including production environment experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Good understanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and system administration.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages, along with familiarity with Git.
- Understanding of infrastructure security, IAM, secrets management, and vulnerability management practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, collaborative mindset, and command of written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications, including iOS/Android signing, Fastlane, TestFlight, or Google Play Console.
- Experience supporting desktop applications, Windows installers, or Unity build pipelines.
- Familiarity with security tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, Mend, OWASP ZAP, or Trivy, and cloud security posture management tools such as GCP Security Command Center.
- Knowledge of GDPR or similar compliance frameworks from an infrastructure perspective.
- Experience with distributed systems, incident management, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience in cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, and infrastructure security hardening.
- Familiarity with data-intensive applications, machine learning workloads, or computer vision systems.
- Knowledge of GitOps, configuration management, or platform engineering practices.
