Club Data Analyst

We are a sports data analytics company who produce player ratings, used for forecasting results. We are partnered with multiple football clubs UK and Abroad and are looking to hire an experienced data analyst to join the team that advises on recruitment, current squad analysis and non-playing footballing insights.

The role:

• Provide recommendations for recruitment, working alongside data scientists and company management and the Club analyst lead.
• Provide feedback on current squad performance, strengths and weaknesses.
• Development of dashboards and analytical tools.
• Keep player databases up to date, and look for valuable new data streams.
• Spot biases in the base rating data, and provide feedback internally on players who are under or over-rated by current models.

Requirements:

• High level of competency in data analysis and dashboards: Python, SQL, Tableau, etc.
• Experience within a football club of reporting data, data visualisation and data workflows.
• Proven ability to apply statistical concepts to football.
• Very strong analytical skills, and confident presenter.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Proactive worker with strong organisational skills.
• Works well within a team environment, open minded to new ideas and new concepts.

Package:

• Full-time position.
• Competitive salary, and discretionary bonus based on performance.
• Hybrid working: 1 to 2 days from our London office, 3 or 4 days from home.(NB this might change in busy recruitment periods)
• Some travel may be required.
• 25 days holiday.
