Senior Video Software Engineer

PlayOn is looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Shortform Video Development team. As a Senior Software Engineer, your core responsibilities will encompass spearheading and actively participating in the formulation, development, and upkeep of our shortform applications and services.  You will collaborate with multifunctional teams to dissect, blueprint, and execute cloud-native software solutions that align precisely with customer requirements. • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of software applications.
• Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and other team activities.
• Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations to the team.
• Ensure that development processes and practices are followed.
• Write technical documentation and ensure that it is up-to-date.

• Knowledge of Full-Stack Development: Proficiency in Python, React, TypeScript
• Database Management: Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB), including database design and optimization.  Experience with ETL data pipelines is a bonus.
• Preferred Video Experience: Experience with web multimedia, video.js, and building customer-facing software strongly preferred
• Preferred Cloud Experience: Experience with AWS, IaC, CI/CD pipelines strongly preferred
