Firmware and video pipeline teams will ensure the encoding is state-of-the-art and handle the video all the way to the final decoding by our customers. Our AI and cloud teams will process the stream with our AI models, which we are proud to say are preeminent in the industry in our field and enable both players and coaches to see detailed statistics of goals, ball possession, passes, and lots of other data - the possibilities here are close to endless.

We are assembling an industry-leading team of skilled engineers, all coming to work motivated to make the best work of our lives here. We already have two highly proficient Camera Module engineers, but we can’t get enough. 
Right next to you will be hardware and video pipeline software engineers, so we don’t expect you to be an expert in those fields. You will still have to interface with those worlds, though, and therefore have the opportunity to gain experience with both domains.
You have at least 5 years of industry experience working on camera systems, advanced knowledge of solving the usual day-to-day problems in such a system, and a willingness to delve into new territory regarding new encoding, calibration, image sensor tuning, video pipelines, and camera module design.
We are looking for someone with seniority in their field who can initiate larger initiatives on the camera/optics front, involving stakeholders from relevant production, hardware, and video-pipeline teams, and be confident in defining camera systems and seeing them through mass production. Desired skill set:

• Theoretical level to understand and implement technologies from the latest papers and create conceptual synergies with the other engineering fields needed to make cutting-edge AI sport cameras. You should keep yourself updated on all relevant technologies useful for our optical development at Veo. You will be responsible for keeping us ahead of the competition on optics.
• Capable simulatorin tools such as Blender or Zemax to make high-quality evaluations of tradeoffs in camera systems tailormade to the Veo use cases.
• Project Manage your inventions through to completion. We will support you along the way, to carry your visions through to an end product.
• Leadership of failure analysis and corrective action implementation at manufacturing sites, including assembly processes, testing, and calibration; parametric-data analysis of end-of-line yield and post-reliability failures.
• Test and validate samples and prototypes from our optical partners to find improvement areas and define tolerance windows ensuring consistently good video quality for our customers.
