- Ensure data quality and consistency through validation, error handling, and monitoring processes.
- Build and maintain cloud-based data storage solutions (e.g., data lakes, databases) using platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Manage and optimize databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to support real-time and batch processing of data.
- Collaborate with team members in the analytics department to integrate data pipelines with analytical tools, machine learning models, and front-end applications.
- Develop APIs and data services to enable seamless access to data for internal usage.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance data processing speed, scalability, and accessibility.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure high availability and performance.
Qualifications:* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in data engineering, including building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
- Strong experience with SQL and relational/non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and tools like Airflow, Kafka, or Spark.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for sports and understanding of sports metrics across multiple disciplines (e.g., hockey, soccer, basketball, baseball).
- Experience with data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) for prototyping or validation.
