Data Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer with deep expertise in AWS cloud services and Power BI to join our data team. This role bridges the gap between data engineering and business intelligence by building scalable data models, transforming raw data into meaningful insights, and enabling self-service analytics across the organization.

Responsibilities

Design and implement robust data models and ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services (e.g., Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, S3, Lambda). Transform complex datasets into curated, analysis-ready layers using SQL and cloud-native tools. Develop and maintain insightful Power BI dashboards and reports that support business decision-making. Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, usability, and accessibility. Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and cost-efficiency on AWS. Apply data governance and security best practices across analytics processes. Create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and maintain documentation in Confluence to ensure knowledge retention and continuity. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field required. 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, or related data roles required. Qualifications

Strong experience with AWS data stack (S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, Lambda, etc.). Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and data modeling. Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL Server stored procedures. Expertise in SQL, data transformation, and performance tuning. Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and modern data architecture. Strong communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. High-level of commitment to a quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Desired Skills

Knowledge of the sport of soccer Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Total Rewards
