We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join our Player Personnel Department. Your primary focus will be on Player Personnel related data modeling, but you will be joining a group of engineers and analysts who support both the coaching and scouting staffs. The ideal candidate will have a background in mathematics or statistics with a passion for analyzing sports data.
Key Responsibilities
· Work closely with our scouts, engineers, and other analysts to create interpretable predictive models to aid in the player evaluation process.
· Write high-quality and maintainable model code that can be incorporated into our production environment.
· Stay up to date on the latest data science trends, helping identify opportunities for us to expand our use of evidence-based decision making.
· Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
Requirements
· 1+ years of demonstrated experience in predictive modeling.
· Demonstrated coding proficiency (R, Python, etc.).
· Experience with version control systems (Github).
· Familiarity with database technologies/languages is a plus.
