Data Science Internship

The Role

Boston Legacy FC is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Data Science Intern, Soccer Analytics to join our team to support player modeling and data analysis. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Analytics department to develop data-driven insights that support coaching, scouting, and performance strategy. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports analytics, contributing directly to the decision-making process of a professional soccer organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and enhance player performance models using statistical and machine learning methods
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect, clean and process data from a variety of soccer specific sources.
• Partner with analytics team members to deliver insights that inform sporting operations

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong understanding of statistical and/or machine learning modeling techniques
  Experience with sports analytics - through internships, research projects, or independent work - is preferred
• Familiarity with soccer metrics and performance analysis tools is a plus
