The LIV Golf League is the world’s only global golf league featuring 13 teams, a 14-tournament schedule, and many of the world’s best golfers. HISTORY

LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event Invitational Series with tournaments across the U.S., Europe and Asia. 2023 saw the first official season of the LIV Golf League, establishing the sport’s first professional golf teams captained by many of the game’s most decorated superstars competing in 14 events around the world.

The format respects golf’s history and traditions with updates for modern-day sports fans; three days, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun start, and simultaneous team and individual competitions, offering a faster tournament that drives engaging storylines and offers an immersive fan experience. The League’s award-winning events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast to over 500 million homes worldwide, showcase world-class competition within a family-friendly environment. Music entertainment, live concerts and a festival-style atmosphere play a signature role with LIV Golf, a two-time winner of the World’s Best Golf Event from the World Golf Awards and a Sports Business Awards Finalist for Sports Event of the Year.

LIV Golf continues to expand its reach by bringing the League to new and returning markets featuring some of the most iconic venues in the world. It has also introduced free agency to professional golf, integrating end-of-season player promotion and relegation, team trades and off-season roster movement that drive year-round fan engagement, embraced by many of the world’s most popular sports.

ROLE OBJECTIVE/THE TEAM

As an Analytics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our data platform. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing robust data warehouse architecture using the Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) model, supporting data transformation pipelines, and enabling business insights through reliable and governed BI assets. You will collaborate across engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver trustworthy and actionable data, primarily through BigQuery, dbt, and Tableau.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Design and maintain a scalable and modular data warehouse architecture using the Medallion model (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers) in BigQuery
• Build, test, and deploy dbt/dataform models with well-documented and reusable SQL-based transformations
• Implement and optimise BI dashboards and data products using Tableau, working closely with business stakeholders to translate needs into visual insights
• Orchestrate and monitor data pipelines using tools, ensuring data quality and timely delivery.
• Integrate data quality checks and observability.
• Maintain and evolve data cataloging and lineage.
• Drive CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions or similar, ensuring smooth code review, testing, and deployment processes.
• Support data governance and documentation efforts, contributing to a high-trust data environment.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product managers to continuously improve platform capabilities and analytics maturity.
• Liaise with internal business units and own the roadmap for the delivery of data products and analytics features.
• Work closely with and help in the management of third parties.

REQUIRED SKILLS/WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU

• Proven experience in data warehousing and transformation using BigQuery and dbt or dataform.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of modern data architecture principles, especially the Medallion architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau for enterprise-grade dashboard development and storytelling.
• Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools like Prefect, Airflow or others.
• Experience with data quality and observability frameworks.
• Experience with data lineage and metadata tools.
• Proficiency in Git and managing code repositories using GitHub; understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation.
