Vertical Content Intern

The Chicago White Sox are looking for an entry-level Vertical Content Intern for the 2026 season to assist in our organic content strategy on various social media platforms. This individual will work collaboratively with members of the digital content, public relations, community relations and marketing teams to create engaging content, while assisting in strengthening and growing the White Sox audience. 

 

Responsibilities
·         Assist with the daily planning, editing and publishing of short-form, vertical content for White Sox TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts and Snapchat channels

·         Assist with the capturing and editing of pre-planned organic and sponsored social media content

·         Stay up-to-date and educate team on latest platforms trends and content opportunities

·         Assist with strategy and execution for White Sox Snapchat channel

·         Assist with content creation for White Sox auxiliary channels, such as White Sox Team Store and White Sox Charities

• Work with members of the Sox Social and SoxTV teams to brainstorm new concepts to help maintain the current audience while also appealing new fans

·         Serve as a content creator for select home and away games (including nights and weekends), with responsibilities including cutting broadcast highlights, photo editing, updating social media templates, and managing various social media channels

·         Edit graphic templates to assist with social posts

·         Responsible for monitoring and tracking music rights through MLB software

·         Track and monitor in-depth social media analytics on a weekly and monthly basis

 

Requirements
·         Strong knowledge of TikTok and Instagram platforms

·         Experience with YouTube Shorts and Snapchat is a plus 

·         Intermediate understanding and working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and Lightroom

·         Willingness to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment 

·         Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Please note that this position is hourly at $18/per hour and runs January-October. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
