Intern, National Training Complex Operations

The Intern, National Training Complex (NTC) Operations plays a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations, events, and facility management needs at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. Since opening in 2007, the NTC has hosted premier events and national team programming, including the National High School Invitational, Collegiate National Team games, National Team Training, and the National Team Identification Series (NTIS).

• On-site work required at the USA Baseball National Training Complex (Cary, NC)

**In This Role:**As an Intern, National Training Complex Operations, you will gain hands-on experience in facility operations, event logistics, and game-day coordination across USA Baseball’s programming. In this role, you may:

• Serve as the on-site, day-to-day liaison between USA Baseball and the Town of Cary during all USA Baseball events at the NTC.
• Assist the Senior Director, NTC Operations, in hiring, training, and managing game-day staff for USA Baseball events.
• Oversee facility operational needs for National Team programs, trainings, and USA Baseball events hosted at the NTC.
• Support event setup and teardown, including signage installation, on-field preparation, equipment staging, and game-day staff coordination.
• Aid in the receiving, tracking, and distribution of USA Baseball National Team equipment shipments.
• Provide support to the retail department with receiving and inventory of officially licensed merchandise for the USA Baseball Team Store.
• Assist with additional USA Baseball events, National Team programming, or cross-departmental initiatives (alumni relations, merchandising, travel services, etc.) as assigned.

• You have a flexible schedule and availability on nights, weekends, and during all USA Baseball events at the NTC.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office.
• You can lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• You are highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• You demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• You are a proactive problem-solver and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced event environments.
• You are in pursuit of or have completed a bachelor’s degree.
• You can successfully complete a background check prior to employment.

Preferred:* Experience in facility operations, event management, game operations, or sports operations.

• Ability to lead small groups of seasonal or game-day staff.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
