THE ROLE
The Academy Recruitment Analyst will work in conjunction with the clubâs Technical Director, the Head of Academy Scouting & Recruitment and the recruitment analysis team. This role will support recruitment with weekly fixture planning and allocation, building final videos and creating due diligence packs. The successful candidate will be expected to be a champion of the scouting process and a go-to person for scouts regarding our protocols and procedures.

Specifically, the assessment of players using video and analytics programs such as Wyscout, Sportscode and video annotation tools such as Piero. You must be able to work within a digital framework inclusive of Cloud-based systems.
This role will have elements of live scouting, and as such, the candidate should be equally comfortable doing individual or match reports. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, modern, digital environment and must embody personal and professional excellence at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the guidance of the Head of Academy Scouting & Recruitment, use video & data to play a leading role in the Clubâs talent identification process.
Provide contextual insights using video & data to support the recruitment process.
- Support the talent identification process using video.
- Compare, contrast, and benchmark players using data.
- Create bespoke and impactful technical reports and dossiers on target players.
- Combine multiple sources (traditional and non-traditional) to aid the clubâs recruitment intelligence process.
Support and interrogate the club's scouting process via video & data insights.
Maintain & manage the clubâs video database and allow for key access on players of Interest.Â
- Manage the Academy Scouting Shortlists from U11 â U19
- Present scouting insights during scout meetings â visual, written, and verbal communication.
- Regularly engage with the Head of Academy Football & Heads of Phase to ensure strong squad management across all academy teams.
Work with the Head of Academy Scouting & Recruitment to process content based on the specific positional needs of the Club.Â
- Ensure games are clipped accurately and efficiently using Sportscode.
- Ensure collated movie organisers exist for all âtargetâ and higher priority âmonitorâ players
- Manage own and other content on the centralised content management system
- Ensure the RFC Platform / Kitman Labs is up to date for all video games processed
- Add, manage, and collate notes in RFC platform / Kitman Labs on all players who watched
- Maintain excellent house-keeping protocols when creating and managing content
- Communicate with the Head of Academy Scouting & Recruitment and Video Scouting team daily
- Flag all high priority and urgent information to the Head of Academy Scouting & Recruitment.
- Manage own and other content on the centralised content management system
- Ensure the RFC Platform / Kitman Labs is up to date for all video games processed
- Add, manage, and collate notes in RFC platform / Kitman Labs on all players who watched
- Maintain excellent house-keeping protocols when creating and managing content
Support Coordination of Academy Scouting Staff.Â
- Support coordination of the Academy Scouts across club Academy Scotland & the UK
- Liaise with the scouts to ensure the scouting schedules are maximised and maintain strong recordings of fixtures covered both Live & on Video.
- Responsible for the management & training of the MSc Academy Technical Scout.
- Schedule regular scout meetings and ensure relevant actions are taken and acted on
Expert-level technical competencies and strong player knowledge across a variety of markets.
Be available to support First Team Scouting as in when required.
Work closely with the First Team Recruitment Analyst to ensure consistent process.
THE CANDIDATE
Technical Skills:
- IT Literate highlighted by strong Microsoft Office Skills
- Competent in using Analysis Software including Hudl Sportscode, Hudl and Wyscout
- Competent in using Adobe Creative Cloud and Video Telestration Tools
Personal Skills:
- Deliver an exceptionally high standard of work in a pressurised environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to see a task through to its conclusion

Experience:
- Experience of working a similar role previously
- Footballing knowledge, with an ability to apply this knowledge within the context of Scouting and Recruitment.
